<> Rachel Harris-Huffman explores the intersection of the natural and built environments through photography, collage, and mixed media works. She sees the life cycle of the human-built environment, as affected by climate, weather, shifting geographies, and time as an allegory for human life cycles, and the emotional, physiological, and physical events that leave marks behind. Rachel will present information about two Japanese aesthetics that influence her work: the philosophy of wabi-sabi and the conceptual art form of Hyperart Thomasson. She will demonstrate the technique of acrylic photo transfer.
